Not me. Can't even stand someone eating it in front of me. Btw, it is a lot better than smoking and stuff.

I do love to eat the 'Meetha Masala/kharra" or sweet filling of the paan.

You will not find many young 'uns into paan. It is a habit closely associated with oldies and women.

just ate some paan earlier and i ate it with some industrial lime, which is supposed to make it kick in stronger, unfortuantely i ate a bit to much lime (PH 8-9) and burnt the shite out of the inside of my mouth. i'm trying to suck on a lime (fruit) now to nutralise the other lime. intense pain. i recommend against swallowing a few grams of calcium hydroxide.

The 'fancy five-star' shops that CAD spoke of do sell some nice paan, but they are god-awful expensive. Even so, they are nowhere near the pan you get in Varanasi. Trust me, I am a Bihari and I know my paan. :)

Not that I am one avid paan eater, but when I do I have it the right way - put it in one corner of the mouth and suck at it ever so slowly and gently till all the juices seep into your mouth. You are never supposed to chew pan, a mistake most novices make. Paan has to be relished and suckled, if I may use that word.
