well friends , u r oll aware of whts goin on in our industry ..which was till now under cover and was wrapped.. courtesy INDIA TV ..and the truth which came out was ... To earn a postion in industry as an actress u hav to sleep a night with the Director or any other postioned person who can recommend u for his ventures .....
the culprit like Shakti kapoor , Aman verma .shud be ashamed of themselves and shud be punished for these things .....

First, what India TV did was wrong. Whatever they might have uncovered, they have no right to invade someone's privacy. If we let this continue there might come a time when nothing is personal anymore. An example.
I think the PM is immoral/unethical. I think that under the garb of talks, he sleeps around with Condoleeza Rice. So, I fit a camera to track their activities. No hanky panky happens. But I capture international secrets. Now, what would those be worth in the open market? What keeps me from selling those? OK. That example might seem far-fetched, but it could happen. Enemy of the State, anyone?
Second. What Shakti Kapoor did may be immoral. But, it is not illegal. He did not rape the woman. He might have asked her for a sexual favour. But, that is not rape. The woman was not his employee. So, there was no fear of her being fired if she did not sucumb to his whims. She was not forced to perform the act. So that cannot be rape. Basically, she had the power to walk out. The choice was hers - take a fastrack route to stardom or work the hard way or find an alternate profession.
Third. Shakti Kapoor was played. He was played by India TV. To me that is yellow journalism.
Yes, the casting couch exists. So? Big deal. If you are a sucker for morality, go run a charity home. Does anyone honestly think that anyone can make it in showbiz without sleeping around? May be it is wrong. But there are people who have no issues with it. May be showbiz is for such people, and if you are not one of them then you are barking up the wrong tree.

yup ... these is not limited to the glamour world its also exist in real world among our society ... if it still goes on ..i belive that the ..Thought " therez no short cut to success" will prove definetly wrong and these way will be the easiest to gain the postion in there respective feild apart from there talent .............
i agree completely with Lucifer...the jouro on question had laid a trap for Shakti Kapoor by inviting him to the hotel room at night, offering him liquor and making suggestive small talk...
they did not have sex, Shakti only asked for it. even if they did have sex, like Lucifer said its nothing illegal...AFAIK, sex between consenting adults is not illegal.
The others in the industry are livid with Shakti not bcoz of his behaviour, but bcoz he named a few well known personalities in his small talk with the journo. Thats the height of hypocrisy. If they declare the Shakti Kapoor is lying and that they are saints, do they really imagine that the public would believe them?
I feel Shakti Kapoor was a wrong choice for a victim, he's not even a bigshot in the industry...India TV used him just to improve their viewership ratings.

real life.I see no meaning in creating headlines like "Screen par Hero,

The common man is least bothered if Shakti Kapoor or Aman Verma has
Asked sexual favours from a Lady.His connection woth them is gone the
moment he/she leaves the cinema hall or Switches off the serial.
If it was some expose like the Coffin Scam or Defence Scam,then the Public
will generally be feeling involved since its their Tax-Money that is being

And take that Guy Suhaib Illyasi....Was'nt he himself arrested in his Wife's

We all at point of time have heard and read abt the casting couch. what India TV has shown is just a tip of the ice berg. It is wrong but it cannot exist without two people agreeing to it.
Today every news channel needs some "exclusive footage" to get viewership. every news channel has done something or the other in the past to get publicity.
Aman Varma was shown saying "I ve been thru it myself".
after listening to that Iam convinced that there are female casting couches too, in his case Im sure it is Ekta Kapoor.
People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
