T-Congress MLAs To Skip Budget

No stepping inside Assembly Unless the Justice Srikrishna Committee’s terms are favourable to Telangana, say MLAs


9th Feb, 2010: Congress MLAs hailing from Telangana in a meeting at the residence of Congress Working Committee member K Keshava Rao, to discuss the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee.

The group of MLAs has decided to skip the budget session of the AP state Assembly if the committee does not protect the interests of Telangana activists. In fact, unless the terms of the committee were favourable, they would not even step into the Assembly, according to some of the ministers.

The purpose of the boycott would be to let the Congress High Command get the message that the budget was not important to them as much as a separate state of Telangana is.
