Have you ever felt like you are at the wrong place at the wrong time? Like a three digit number in Ganguly's score report? Like a non-vegetarian in Gayatri Bhavan? Like a guy in a girls' bathroom? Okay, that was a bad example, but you get the point, right? Priya must feel exactly the same way.

Taj Mahal previously, the theater was rechristened by an astute management to Priya when mausoleums went out of fashion. It's a pity, though, that the neighborhood hasn't left its time warp as yet. Going to Mallepally – where Priya is located – is like traveling back in time. Sights and sounds that you thought were lost in the cleansing sands of the era – the sepia-tinted pictures, the milk and mutton shops, the Irani cafes – they’re all hale and hearty here.

And boy, is Priya a sight for sore eyes! With its comfortable seating, air-cooled interiors, Dolby DTS to ensure you hear that barely audible sigh with the kiss, and wood-paneled walls, Priya makes movie-watching an eminently pleasurable experience. And stands out like a beacon in a dark and dreary world.

All this atmosphere has a positive side to it, too. The very out-of-the-way placement of Priya ensures that it isn't all that swarming with people when most other theaters would be running full house. So, in such dire cases of emergency, or even if you generally wanted to subject your entire extended family to the latest Hindi or Telugu movie torture, this cinema hall would save the day.

One word of caution, though. Since this is an "inside theater", their timings don't follow the accepted norms. So, you would be better off calling them once before making any movie plans here.
