Lots of water = lots of fun. So long as you're not drowning, at least. Ocean Park is the perfect fun family spot. Really - they're not paying us to say this. The city's first and biggest water theme park, this is a great place to chill in summer, and is quite a load of fun, especially for kids. There are 38 rides to try out, for people in various stages of undress.
Do shed your inhibitions, though. Everyone here is as out-of-shape as you are, after all, and the really fun rides require you wear a swimsuit. Technically almost all of them do, but shy women can be very stubborn, so there will be quite a few who are fully clothed and soaking wet.
The 80-foot-high water slides are screaming fun, and you can have a go as many times as you'd like - you just have to climb back up. Sound like too much exercise? Lounge around at the wave pool then, swim a couple of laps with air tubes if you prefer, and let yourself be bounced around by the artificially simulated waves. These are scheduled for four half-hour periods throughout the day. And there are lifeguards on hand everywhere, so worry not.
If you don't want to get wet (whyever wouldn't you?), jump onto the sky cabs, our first aerial ropeway. Or if you're more adventurous, give the super loop a shot. Prepare to hang upside-down in the air for two terrifying minutes, though. There are very few rides not covered in your entry fee, so it's a good deal, especially if you're determined to extract full paisa vasool.
And of course, take the kids!
