Although this place is not exactly as hectic as Paradise across the street, for a certain kind of summer ecstasy you have to visit Pan Mahal. They have the best ice golas in town. Okay, given the tough competition in this category, if not the best, then definitely up there.

The Kala Khatta here is the undisputed star, and it's their hottest seller. The syrup here is better than most, and has an spicier edge to it. Other favorites include Rose, Orange and Khova. The Orange flavored gola is also excellent.

With ice golas, hygiene is a usually a big concern, but you have nothing to worry about at Pan Mahal. One of the USPs of this place is that it's clean, so you can enjoy your junk food without the anxiety. The store itself is fancy, but because it is primarily a pan place, there is no proper seating arrangement as such, and people either take away or sit on the steps outside. There are very few reasons to feel good about summer in our city; this is one of them.
