Amazing piece of film-making, though quite a few liberties have been taken with the source material. Considering how good it is, just imagining what it might have been, with the same star cast and crew, the mind boggles. However, that aspect should not take away from how good this movie is, and the reviewer is bang on target while mentioning that some people in the audience won't find this palatable. The choice of James McAvoy was the master-stroke, and his convincing portrayal does not take anything away from his performances in either 'Atonement' or 'The Last King of Scotland'.

The name of the organization to which Sloan and Fox and the others belong to is not loom of Fate, but is called the 'Fraternity', though it is the loom that 'instructs' this fraternity of assassins.

Pros: All the censored stuff, including the bloody violence, amazing choreography, visuals, the naked (albeit from the rear) 'Fox', James McAvoy's transition
Cons: Not being true to the source material, casting of James McAvoy's fraternity father, some suspension of disbelief, under-utilization of Morgan Freeman

Exceptional movie !!
One can relate it to ageold blockbusters 'Terminator2' or 'Speed'. A superb way of portraying the concept and twist at the end. The new russian director proved his temperment in making it and taking to top class. hats off !!!
