Kathak Festival Celebrated With Pomp

A three-day Kathak festival organized by the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana, and the Aakruti Kathak Kendra in memory of Kathak maestro Pt. Durga Lal came to a fascinating finish at Ravindra Bharathi on 7th March.
The protracted event that saw the participation of various dance companies and classical singers from across the country gave a fitting tribute to the late Kathak legend. Besides, the beautiful medleys and pieces that combined dance with song and fusion work, too, were a sensory treat to the audiences present.
Here's hoping that the city plays host to more such collaborative performances in the future.
