National Statistics Day Celebrations

The Statistics Department of St. Francis College celebrated National Statistics Day on June 29 to honour the work and contribution of late Professor and Scientist Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in the field of statistics and economic planning.
The celebrations started with the lighting of candles and were followed by dance performances by the students. The above picture is from one of the performances by the students.
The students then spoke of the life and achievements of the scientist.
The meeting concluded with motivational speeches from the lecturers.
