Art & Crafts Mela At Shilparaman

The All India Art and Crafts Mela, a 15-day (December 15 to 31) event celebrating traditional artistry and craftsmanship, is running at Shilparamam, Madhapur, drawing art enthusiasts and craft lovers from across the state. The fair features an array of handmade products and cultural showcases.

It hosts nearly 600 stalls, with participation from over 400 artisans representing various States across India. Pottery, woodwork, handloom and handmade jewellery are among the highlights, providing visitors with a glimpse into the country's rich heritage. Attendees can explore unique offerings including hand block printing, jute products, terracotta, blue pottery, shawls, carpets and stone carvings.

Artists from regions such as Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Odisha present their crafts, adding to the fair's diverse atmosphere. The mela not only offers an opportunity for artisans to display their work but also aims to promote and preserve traditional art forms.

Beyond the arts and crafts exhibition, the event feature cultural programs, a food festival, and recreational activities such as boating. Visitors can enjoy live performances, savour regional delicacies, and engage in family-friendly entertainment.
