World Meditation Day Celebration

Hyderabad witnessed the inaugural celebration of World Meditation Day at Gachibowli Stadium on December 21, 2024. The event, organized by the Department of Tourism & Culture in association with Ram Chandra Mission and Kanha Heartfulness Centre, drew participants from across the State.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Ram Chandra Mission President Kamlesh D Patel (Daaji) led the proceedings. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a guided meditation session conducted by Daaji.

In his address, Governor Varma emphasized the significance of meditation in fostering mental resilience and personal growth. He described the practice as a "bridge between divinity and humanity", and praised Kanha Heartfulness Centre's contributions to promoting global well-being through meditation.

Daaji spoke about the scientific advancements surrounding meditation and its impact at genetic and molecular levels. He encouraged regular practice, describing it as essential for spiritual growth and inner peace. Reflecting on the broader spiritual context.

The celebration concluded with a call for integrating meditation into daily life, with leaders expressing hope that World Meditation Day will inspire greater awareness and participation in the practice across Telangana and beyond.
